Pemasangan sejumlah portal pembatas yang dibuat oleh management PTPN 4 Kebun Gunung Bayu di Afd 3 adalah bagian dari kesepakatan, diantaranya untuk mengantisipasi keamanan kebun dan gangguan dari kawanan lembu serta mengantisipasi pencurian tandan sawit.
Hal ini disampaikan Vincen Nadeak selaku APK Kebun Gunung Bayu, saat dikonfirmasi, Selasa (27/12/2022). Menurutnya, pemasangan portal tersebut sebelumnya sudah lama harus diberlakukan mengingat untuk menjaga aset PTPN 4.
“Pemasangan portal tersebut sebenarnya sudah lama mau kita lakukan, awal bulan Maret kemarin bahkan mau kita lakukan single gate atau sistem satu pintu. Namun karna adanya permohonan dari masyarakat, maka kita melakukan penundaan.
Masih dengan Vincent, pemasangan portal tersebut bertujuan untuk mencegah masuknya hewan ternak di lahan TBM (Tanaman Belum Menghasilkan) milik kebun Gunung Bayu. Selain itu, tujuan portal tersebut juga kami pasang adalah untuk mencegah ataupun mengurangi dampak TBS (Tandan Buah Sawit) milik Kebun Gunung Bayu yang diambil oleh orang-orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab.
Sebelumnya kami sudah melakukan kesepakan kepada masyarakat setempat terkait pemasangan portal tersebut. Yang dimana terdapat kesepakan agar masyarakat setempat ikut berpartisipasi menjaga aset kita dari pencurian ataupun hewan ternak yang masuk ke areal tanaman muda kita.
Namun, kesepakan tersebut sepertinya tidak di indahkan oleh masyarakat setempat. Sehingga pihak mangement Kebun Gunung Bayu mengambil sikap untuk memasang portal tersebut guna menyelamatkan aset negara, yakni kebun kelapa sawit milik PTPN 4 Kebun Gunung Bayu.
Jadi saya berharap, masyarakat jangan berprasangka buruk terhadap kami pihak management. Karna sebelumnya sudah ada kesepakan yang dimusyawarahkan.
Kami juga meminta kepada masyarakat sekitar agar menjaga hewan ternak yang akan masuk ke lahan TBM, apabila hewan ternak masuk, tentunya akan terdapat kerusakan pada tanaman muda dan dapat merugikan negara yang dalam hal ini PTPN 4 Kebun Gunung Bayu, ujar Vincen Nadeak selaku APK Kebun Gunung Bayu.
Sementara itu, pantauan kru media ini melihat langsung pemasangan portal yang dilakukan pihak management untuk mengamankan aset mereka.
